I’m taking photographs when I’m on my way. I am not on my way to take photographs.
The Solitude Project is a small representation of me being on my way. On my way to work, on my walk with the dog, on my way home, on my way to visit someone, on my way home. My focus is determined by my mood or the music I’m listening to. This is reflected in the photographs I’m taking at that very moment. There’s no clear or single category I’d put my body of work into. I’m not a street photographer even though a take photographs on the street. I’m not a landscape photographer even though many photographs show landscapes. I’m not an architectural photographer even though many photographs fit this category.
My body of work reflects me, what I see and how I see the world. Most of the photographs I’m taking is when I’m on my own, in solitude.
